About me

I received my B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Turkey, in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

In 2021, I received my Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) degree from the Technical University of Berlin (TUB), Germany. Since 2022, I have been with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin, Germany.

My research interests are primarily centered around the resolution and exploration of optimization problems, which lie at the heart of signal processing, information theory, communication, data science, and machine learning.

My Research Interests

Specializing in the development and application of mathematical and computational methods, my research aims to devise innovative strategies for solving complex optimization challenges. This includes enhancing algorithmic efficiency, improving decision-making processes, and optimizing system performance across various interdisciplinary domains in a broad spectrum of applications.

My scholarly pursuits further extend to:

  • Learning-Based Solutions (AI Approaches) for Inverse Problems across the spectrum of Communication and Signal Processing.
  • Optimization Problems within these domains, including:
    • - Combinatorial Optimization Problems, focusing on optimal decision-making in discrete systems,
    • - Continuous Optimization Problems, covering linear, convex, and non-convex programming for efficient system design and operation,
    • - Stochastic Optimization, aimed at enhancing decision-making under uncertainty within dynamic environments and for network optimization.
  • Predictive Modeling, emphasizing the use of forecasting, neural networks, and Bayesian inference methods to extract insights from data and anticipate future trends across various sectors.
  • Frame Theory, Compressed Sensing, and Low-Rank Matrix Recovery, concentrating on the mathematical principles and practical applications for the effective acquisition and reconstruction of signals.
  • Sensing, Wireless Localization, and Sensor Networks.
